The Principal Solution Engineer analyzes, develops, modifies, installs, tests, and maintains the JDA Software. Possesses a strong understanding of JDA SCPO, Demand, Fulfillment, Order optimization, and Reporting. Evaluate vendor-supplied software packages for fit and performance, make recommendations to IT management. Monitors system capacity and performance and provides Tier Two technical support.
Required skills:
Python
MLOps in AWS
SQL
Familiarity with AWS products, Lambda, S3, etc.
Amazon Sagemaker proficiency
Time Series analysis with machine learning models
Preferred experience:
Supply chain background
Demand and Supply planning domain
Responsibilities:
Serve in a team leader capacity with large-scale Application Development projects/programs
Lead and direct offshore application development programs
Maintain a working knowledge of Software Code Development leading practices and serve as a thought leader to the SGWS organization
Facilitate Code Development / Engineering training and education programs for the IT team
Provide coaching and development to more junior Application Developers
Oversee the work of 3rd party Development teams
Drive the collection of the required information to develop work scope around solutions to attain business requirements along with data needs as required
Serve as liaison between Divisions/Functions and IT on projects and enhancements
Perform other job-related duties as assigned
Project Management:
Communicate project risks that may have a negative impact on the project schedule, scope, or budget
Escalate project issues that surface and cannot be quickly resolved which will have an impact on the project schedule, scope, or budget
Design and implement architecturally compliant system landscapes
Make recommendations to enhance processes, procedures, and policies relating to systems functioning or performance
Monitor systems capacity and performance and provide Tier Two technical support
Mentor and coach others
Perform other job-related duties as assigned
Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree or a combination of work experience and education
Five (5)+ years in application development or comparable experience
Experience working with, and directing third-party Application Development teams
Experience leading and supporting teams with large-scale Application Development projects/programs
Extensive experience across the entire project life cycle (SDLC) – be it implementing new software or enhancing existing functionality
Experience with interfaces into and from platforms (using APIs, ESB, SAP PI, etc.)
Participate in Agile teams
Drive Behavior-Driven-Design (BDD) process
Excellence in communicating and presenting complex information to technical and non-technical stakeholders
Physical Demands:
Physical demands include a considerable amount of time sitting and typing/keyboarding, using a computer (e.g., keyboard, mouse, and monitor), or adding machine
Physical demands with activity or condition may occasionally include walking, bending, reaching, standing, squatting, and stooping
