Job Description:
As the Head of Business Development, you will have the strategic responsibility for leading the business development efforts for the company’s hydrogen, solar, and biomethane refueling stations and infrastructure. This role will also include the negotiation of new commercial agreements with key customers, energy stakeholders, and partners to ensure the business's growth in the renewable energy sector.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Leadership:
Develop, implement, and drive business strategies to position the company as a leader in the renewable energy market.
Lead the planning and execution of business development initiatives.
Identify and analyze emerging market opportunities in the energy and renewables sector.
Stakeholder Engagement & Relationship Management:
Establish, develop, and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders.
Drive customer acquisition and retention through effective contract management.
Work with senior executives to ensure the company’s interests are represented in key industry discussions.
Project and Investment Management:
Oversee the development of value propositions and investment proposals for new stations and projects.
Manage and coordinate the submission of tenders.
Lead the due diligence assessment for M&A opportunities.
Innovation and Market Insights:
Continuously monitor energy and environmental regulations.
Guide the company’s IT and technological innovation strategy.
Act as a thought leader within the company.
Team Management and Development:
Lead and mentor a cross-functional team.
Promote a collaborative culture that encourages teamwork.
Ensure the team meets business and operational KPIs.
Fund Management and Compliance:
Oversee the management of national and international funds.
Ensure compliance with local, national, and EU environmental policies.
Required Qualifications and Skills:
Educational Background:
A Master's degree or higher in Business Administration, Energy Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related field.
Specialized training in renewable energy technologies is highly desirable.
Professional Experience:
A minimum of 7+ years of business development experience in the renewable energy sector.
Previous experience in leading teams and large-scale energy infrastructure projects.
Technical Expertise:
Deep knowledge of the renewable energy market.
Experience with project finance, budgeting, and procurement processes.
Leadership Skills:
Strong leadership capabilities with a demonstrated ability to inspire and manage a diverse team.
Excellent interpersonal skills with a strong ability to influence and negotiate.
Language and Communication:
Fluency in both Italian and English is required.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Other Competencies:
Strong business acumen and an entrepreneurial mindset.
Experience in managing large budgets and leading cross-functional teams.
