Guyana Shore Base Inc. (GYSBI) was established in June 2017 to provide specialized Shore Base Management and Integrated Logistics Services for Operators in the Oil & Gas Industry Offshore Guyana. Today GYSBI is a leader in the Oil-Field Service Industry in Guyana.
We are currently seeking an experienced QA/QC Manager to join our rapidly growing team.
Description:
The QA/QC Manager implements and maintains the company Integrated Management System (IMS) and manages all quality functions for the business and for projects ensuring compliance with company and client procedures, including Project Quality and Test Plans (PQP / ITP’s).
Key Responsibilities:
Implement and maintain GEMS’ IMS according to ISO 14001 and 45001.
Promote a culture of Quality in projects with a "Thinking Quality" and "Right First Time" mentality and raise the awareness of employees.
Implement the QA/QC departments strategy and achieve the department objectives.
Assist projects to set quality objectives and monitor them.
Assist in the preparation for leadership team review meetings relevant to QMS.
Conduct lessons learned surveys, analyze and categorize results, and ensure that they are well communicated and archived in the company knowledge base.
Collect client feedback, analyze and categorize results, and follow up action (as required).
Supervise the storage and preservation function.
Handle all quality related client complaints and follow up until closure.
Liaise with and (where necessary) deal with clients, suppliers, sub-contractors for quality issues and attend client quality meetings.
Support engineering, procurement, commercial and operations during the pre-contract, delivery and post-contract phases (pre-qualification, tendering, claims, DLP, arbitration etc.).
Prepare master method statements and project quality plans for new project tenders as required.
Plan and conduct the internal audits for IMS and follow up the audit findings until closure.
Coordinate the external audits relating to ISO certification and other certifications (e.g. ASME, EN ISO, IEC, etc.), and ensure departments/projects are prepared as required.
Manage and support the QA/QC team across projects.
Attend Kick-off meetings for new projects as required.
Ensure all client NCR's/observations are closed on time.
Issue/Approve NCR's (internally or to suppliers, and sub-contractors) and follow up until closure.
Monitor all suppliers and sub-contractors work and ensure compliance with the quality standards.
Conduct workshop visits for evaluation of suppliers and subcontractors.
Manage all quality related project close out activities and prepare a quality final report at the end of each project.
Monitor and update department risk & opportunity register for monthly submission. Identify and manage risks that could impact achieving quality objectives.
Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly QA/QC reports.
Follow up on action items and maintain status registers.
Ensure projects handing over procedure implemented effectively.
Assist with the coordination/implementation of Department training programme.
Perform other tasks associated with position that are not specifically identified above.
Qualifications, Experience & Skills:
Minimum of 15 years relevant experience.
