What you do: The Strategy Director is a member of the Corporate Strategy Team, who applies strategic and financial thinking to leading and executing the Corporate Strategy. This position is critical to the strategy to bring new and innovative thinking to Allianz. You will lead the strategic initiatives for cross-enterprise, Allianz wide impact. Responsibilities include leading in building of the annual Strategy, developing related business plans and being a change management champion within the Company. Key business partners will include the Strategic Program management Office, Portfolio leaders, Finance and the executive leadership team. You will also be a leader of several project teams, developing business plans to drive the implementation of strategic priorities. In addition, you will deliver important messages to Senior Management and other key stakeholders. Your ability to engage at all levels of the organization (and externally), and ability to seamlessly execute will be highly valued. You will report directly to the Sr. Director of Corporate Strategy and Marketing. Job responsibilities: Lead in the development of strategic plans, alignment with Finance and the Strategic Program Management team Lead all facets of strategy projects ensuring compliance with relevant procedures/policies including: financial forecasting, headcount planning, audit & control, and centralized policy/reporting Create and drive communications to broad audiences on behalf of Strategy Leadership Support building a Long-term Strategy model, developing and executing key strategies, and adding capabilities to support the future needs Create and manage business cases, measurement models to evaluate individual and across portfolio efforts (ex. pilots and proof of concepts) What you bring: 8+ years experience required Experience in strategy development and project management Experience in financial services industry including an understanding of the annuity businesses including the marketplace and distribution Understanding of the general distribution landscape with financial advisors, broker dealers, FMOs, RIAs and the respective relationships Experience developing business cases, performing cost-benefit analysis, conducting industry research Collaborative relationship building skills with various internal and external stakeholders; ability to build relationships cross-functionally and lead toward common goals, proven record of successfully managing executive relationships Experience leading cross functional teams and extracting the best from each team member Experience taking action and pulling details to implement initiatives Excellent analytical skills and demonstrated experience supporting complex, high visibility, cross-enterprise programs and events Experience working with timelines and business assumptions that continue to change and evolve Excellent communication skills and ability to align diverse populations: able to effectively present ideas; excellent writer, proven ability to communicate effectively with executive-levels Experience with planning capabilities, including communications, events, and projects Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required What we offer: At Allianz Life, we're proud to provide a benefits package that supports the True Balance of our employees and their families.
