Product Manager

Rock of Ages, a division of Polycor Group, has an immediate opening for an
Industrial Product Manager Internal . The successful candidate will be critical in supporting initiatives for continuous improvement and transformation for our business.
Under the responsibility of Head of Memorials and Industrial Products, the candidate will focus on Estimation, Sales, and Project Management for our Precision Granite Division.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Manage every aspect of a product's development from conception to completion.
Develop and maintain effective business relationships with customers.
Highlight how our material solves customer problems.
Polling customers to assess project needs and viability.
Estimate costs and prepare budgets from customer’s custom designs.
Determine the right features for a product to ensure its effectiveness within the market.
Assess and identify product opportunities to determine which are worth pursuing.
Negotiate sales price, terms and lead-time with customers.
Work with production supervisor to meet specifications and deadlines.
Monitor production and keep customers informed of production’s progress.
Monitor production costs and adjust quote template accordingly.
Schedule new orders while considering current backlog and capacity.
Annotate technical drawings to help production’s team.
Attend trade shows to prospect for customers and maintain existing relations.
Profile

Requirements
Associate degree (A.S.) in an engineering or technical program, an asset.
3 to 5 years of relevant experience in technical sales.
Equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
Background in manufacturing, an asset.

Reading blueprints (mechanical drawings).
