Corporate Development
is a centralized global corporate group set up with the objective of leading this activity on behalf of Ecolab. The Corporate Development team is composed of senior members who interface with the business units, leadership team, and the functional groups across the company.
As a
Vice President, Corporate Development
for the
M&A/Investments
team you will be lead acquisition, divestiture and investment transaction execution, and be based at
Ecolab’s Global Headquarters
in
St. Paul, MN.
What You Will Do:
Partner with the Business Development team/businesses to help identify, evaluate and engage potential acquisition targets
Lead cross-functional teams, including business and functional professionals, through the acquisition or investment execution process including due diligence, financial modeling, negotiation, and integration planning
Lead cross-functional teams, including business and functional professionals, through the divestiture execution process including information collection and due diligence support, marketing, financial modeling, negotiation, and carve-out planning
Ensure cross-functional sharing of information and synthesize collective findings of due diligence process
Direct financial modeling analysis and work closely with the Finance organization and business groups to ensure the appropriate financial assumptions and due diligence findings are incorporated in the model and the transaction documents
Work with Law on identifying appropriate deal structure, negotiation strategy and transactions term tolerances as well as partnering with Law on negotiations and documenting the transaction
Prepare communication materials and obtain executive approvals for transaction
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Finance or related business degree, with an advanced Legal degree or MBA
7 years of experience as a business development, corporate ventures or strategic marketing professional in a corporate/consulting environment or venture capital firm
Experience in various sized, as well as, private and public acquisitions or investments, divestitures and related carve-out work, either domestically or internationally
Preferred Qualifications:
Skilled project management in terms of both leading the thought content and managing process
The successful candidate must be an outstanding leader with strong relationship building skills, accomplished in project management and a proactive problem solver.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills coupled with strong financial, legal and general business acumen
Experienced in leading and working effectively in a team-based, matrixed environment
