Every day we support and are supported by thousands of San Franciscans. The Tenderloin Tech Lab (TTL) is the Tenderloin’s only free technology center specializing in bridging the digital divide. You’ll be joining a team that offers free Drop-in services, computer classes, and one-on-one tutoring. Our services are designed specifically for the learning styles of adults experiencing poverty, addiction, mental health challenges, or homelessness. Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Guest Engagement
Maintain a calm, welcoming, and friendly atmosphere for guests. Patiently troubleshoot tech issues for guests in the drop-in lab. Courteously assist guests, providing information and responding to questions. Maintain up-to-date information on internal programs and other social services. Assist in implementing and enforcing program procedures for community safety. Treat all guests with empathy, dignity, and respect. Demonstrate the ability to work effectively across cultures. Program Administration and Operations
Lead the front desk by answering phones and inquiries. Supervise 5-10 Tech Lab volunteers. Act as the supervisor of the day as needed. Responsible for participant and program data tracking. Provide administrative support for inventory of office supplies. Complete reports and paperwork neatly and thoroughly. Participate in training and development opportunities. Understand and follow the organization's programs, policies, and procedures. Teamwork
Participate in relevant meetings supporting team communication. Collaboratively work with others to achieve team success. Manage stress and pressure situations calmly. Demonstrate integrity while working and representing St. Anthony’s. Practice direct, respectful communication with colleagues. Demonstrate cooperation with coworkers and the community. Minimum Qualifications
At least 2 years of front desk or customer service experience. Excellent interpersonal, listening, oral, and written communication skills. Ability to set limits and practice professional boundaries. Ability to respond to emergencies in a composed manner. Ability to use information and communication technologies. Experience using and troubleshooting MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Gmail, and Outlook. Punctual, reliable, and team-oriented. Experience with conflict de-escalation is preferred. P.R./First Aid certification preferred. Experience in a non-profit or community-based agency preferred.
