Job Description
We are seeking a Financial Analyst to join our Cost Basis Team, specifically within Tax Reporting Operations. This role is crucial for ensuring accurate reporting of covered securities and tax lots to the Internal Revenue Service (IRS). The successful candidate will need to update tax lot records accurately and efficiently and will be responsible for researching and resolving transactional discrepancies that lead to inaccurate cost basis requiring manual updates. Experience with financial statements and records, with a strong emphasis on attention to detail, is essential.Location: Pennington, NJ
Work Arrangement: Fully On-Site
Contract Duration: 12 Months
Pay Rate: $20-$21 per hour
 Job Duties:
  • Process routine and standard transactions according to established procedures.
  • Handle daily responsibilities in one or more operational areas such as analysis, report generation, opening new accounts, trade processing, payment processing, and data entry.
  • Provide quality service and effective operational support to internal business partners and external clients.
  • Offer advice and assist with training for less experienced team members.
  • Use some independence of thought, referring more complex problems to the Operations Team Manager or Supervisor.
Required Skills:
  • Adherence to industry and IRS rules and regulations.
  • Generally, 1 year or more of relevant experience is preferred.
  • Willingness to work overtime as needed, especially during Tax Season (January – April).
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Proven ability to effectively service and resolve client inquiries.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively and efficiently as an individual contributor in a team environment.
  • Positive and professional attitude in a fast-paced, team-oriented work environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Desired Skills:
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, and Excel.
  • Strong understanding of rules, regulations, policies, and standards.
  • Recent finance and accounting graduates are welcome to apply.

 


 

Pay Details: $20.00 to $21.00 per hour
