Role: Pueo has an opportunity for an experienced TS/SCI cleared Security Specialist to support our customer in Chantilly, VA. We are seeking a skilled and experienced Security Specialist to ensure the security of DoD personnel and maintain compliance with DoD regulations. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the Defense Information System for Security (DISS), or its successor system, and possess strong skills in security awareness and the investigation of potential security incidents.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the security processing for Government Civilian, Military, and Contractor personnel, tracking each action until completion, including entries into the Defense Information System for Security (DISS) or successor system.
  • Aid Government-led investigations into potential security incidents, including setting up interviews, preparing reports, and tracking incidents from start to finish. Compile monthly reports with metrics relevant to these security inquiries and investigations,
  • Conduct physical security inspections, process necessary paperwork for accreditation, identify vulnerabilities, recommend mitigation strategies, and assist customer organizations with the implementation of actions to achieve compliance,
  • Conduct training for personnel on security & awareness and report compliance.
Qualifications
  • An active TS/SCI clearance,
  • Minimum 5 years' experience with DoD or other federal agency in their respective discipline,
  • Demonstrated experience supporting medium scale DOD organizations,
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain a high level of accuracy and attention to detail,
  • Demonstrated strong verbal and written communications skills,
  • Demonstrated experience using Microsoft Office Suite of products,
  • Familiarity with the Defense Information System for Security (DISS) or successor system,
  • Exceptional investigative and reporting skills,
  • Thorough knowledge of Federal record policy and legislation,
  • Ability to provide training and conduct risk assessments,
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to identify and recommend mitigation strategies for vulnerabilities,
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively with both internal and external stakeholders.
PreferredBachelor's degree in Security Management, Criminal Justice, or a related field,

Experience providing security support at the Pentagon.
