Job Description
B.L. Harbert International is seeking a Security Coordinator for the International Group located in Birmingham, Alabama. Candidate will report directly to the Facility Security Officer.
Responsibilities:
· Manage administrative activity related to security clearances for employees, including all Security and Security related training
· Uphold strict document handling, control, and tracking procedures
· Request Subcontract DD254s
· Review and track, monitor, and distribute all contract DD254s
· Assist in performing self-inspections as required by the Defense Counterintelligence Security Agency (DCSA)
· Assist the FSO in developing Security Briefings and other Security Training material
· Monitor, track, and manage National Background Investigation Services (NBIS), National Industrial Security System (NISS), Secure Web Fingerprint Transmission (SWFT) accounts, among others
· Process VARs and ECCs
· Prepare, issue and maintain the distribution of employee/visitor ID badges for BLHI Campus Buildings
· Other duties as assigned by Facility Security Officer
Requirements:
· U.S. Citizen
· Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance through the US Government
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
· Well-developed written and verbal communication skills
· Ability to collaborate and work on a team
Preferences:
· Government related experience (US Army Corps of Engineers, NAVFAC, Department of Defense, Department of State)
· Experience with DISS, personnel clearance processing, database functions including e-QIP and SWFT
Physical Demands:
To perform the duties of this job, the employee must:
· Have the ability to repetitively use hands to grasp, reach above and below with arms, and work overhead
· Have the ability to stoop, bend, walk, kneel, crouch and crawl
· Have the ability to lift, carry and/or move up to 25 lbs. of weight in the form of paper, boxes, files, etc.
· Have the ability to sit for extended periods with occasional standing required
· Possess the manual dexterity to operate office equipment, filing, and perform specialized skills
· Possess a high degree of concentration necessary in a busy office environment
