Greystones is seeking a Project Manager to support a modernization program with the Navy. This position assists in the overall goal of the program to develop an agile, flexible, and responsive workforce focused on being a proficiency-based learning organization with a solid foundation of shipyard departmental expertise and innovative technical, business, and interpersonal approaches. This role oversees multiple projects from initiation through deployment, managing timelines, budgets, and quality standards. It involves collaborating with diverse teams to define project goals, deliverables, and success criteria, while developing detailed plans and monitoring progress against milestones. The position also entails identifying risks, communicating with stakeholders, implementing knowledge management solutions, and promoting best practices to enhance project efficiency and foster continuous improvement.
Hybrid schedule reporting to Washington D.C. Navy Yard.

Major Duties/Tasks:
Own the execution of strategy and the operational direction of the sub-function or project.
Oversee multiple projects from initiation to deployment, ensuring clarity on timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, such as researchers, engineers, data scientists, and ethics experts, to define project goals, deliverables, and success metrics.
Develop detailed project plans, schedules, and resource allocations, and actively monitor progress against milestones.
Identify and anticipate risks, issues, and dependencies, proactively communicating with stakeholders to resolve challenges and ensure project success.
Implement robust knowledge management solutions, including document repositories, wikis, and collaboration tools, to streamline the capture, organization, and sharing of project information and insights.
Establish and enforce best practices for documentation, version control, and knowledge sharing among project teams.
Promote a culture of continuous improvement by gathering feedback from project teams and stakeholders, and applying lessons learned to refine project management approaches.
Required Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in management or related field.
PMP certification is a plus.
10-15 years of Program Management experience.
5+ years managing for Navy and other DoD Programs.
1-3 years of client facing activities in DoD contracting and demonstrated growth.
Demonstrated knowledge in the Defense acquisition process, contract management, technical and business management required.
Demonstrated understanding of DoD contracts and contract analysis and working knowledge of DoD contracting processes in the technical or programmatic area is required.
Experience with customer relationship management and opportunity tracking as well as experience with a variety of contract types including CPFF, FFP, award fee, and performance-based contracting are key.
Experience with proposal development using a formalized process.
Demonstrated experience growing revenue on existing contracts.
Familiarity with major acquisition vehicles.
Experience growing business on NAVSEA and/or Navy contracts.
Familiarity with ship maintenance and modernization highly preferred.
Familiarity with Navy IT systems preferred.
Familiarity with DoD Enterprise IT systems and modernization/acquisition process preferred.
Assertive and able to take charge of a situation when appropriate with the ability to lead, motivate and influence others.
Fluent, clear and articulate in verbal communication with the ability to convey interest and enthusiasm.
Required Clearance:
Active secret clearance required.
