Job Description:
Are you a compassionate and detail-oriented individual seeking a rewarding career in healthcare? We're looking for a Patient Services Representative I (Phlebotomist) to join our team in Millville, Delaware.
As a PSR I, you'll play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care. Your responsibilities will include:
- Drawing blood samples: Accurately and safely collect blood specimens from patients of all ages, ensuring a comfortable and positive experience.
- Patient interaction: Build rapport with patients, explaining procedures clearly and addressing any concerns.
- Specimen processing: Prepare blood samples for laboratory testing, following established protocols.
- Administrative duties: Maintain accurate records and documentation.
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Medical assistant or paramedic training preferred
- Phlebotomy certification preferred (Required in California, Nevada, and Washington)
- Minimum of 6 months experience in healthcare
- One(+) year of phlebotomy experience preferred
- Excellent customer service skills
- Proficiency in data entry and computer skills
- Must have 3+ years' experience in an outpatient setting
- Knowledge of phlebotomy procedures and specimen processing
