Summary:
This role will be responsible for guiding ZipRecruiter employees and vendor partners through the procurement process. A strong Procurement Specialist will be comfortable with numbers and be capable of critically analyzing quotes, orders, and contracts. They will facilitate the day-to-day procurement processes and take ownership over several related work streams. The Procurement Specialist will handle vendor renewals and use that opportunity to build strong relationships with colleagues and our vendors. The role will be responsible for finding ways to further streamline the process while helping to make sure it is effective for the company and a great experience for ZipRecruiter employees.
Responsibilities:
Carefully review procurement requests from various ZipRecruiter teams and route them appropriately.
Proactively seek out additional information (set up meetings, calls, cross-team discussions) to determine procurement needs.
Develop a strong working relationship with key partners in the procurement process (Legal, Compliance, Finance, Security, etc.).
Recommend automation, features, improvements, or optimizations to the procurement process.
Advise and guide internal teams on the process to ensure that procurement feels accessible and approachable by all teams.
Handle primary communication with vendors, opening negotiation discussions, holding the line on ZipRecruiter’s standard terms, ensuring useful notes are kept after each vendor meeting, and driving the contract review and signing process to completion.
Improve upon and engage with the Vendor Management software system.
Minimum Qualifications:
3+ years of hands-on experience with procurement in a corporate environment.
1+ year of experience communicating professionally with vendors.
Prior experience designing, improving, and implementing processes.
Professional (working environment) experience with GSuite Workspace applications (Google Docs, Sheets, Slides, Calendar).
Preferred Qualifications:
5+ years of hands-on experience with procurement in a corporate environment.
Experience in a ticketing environment using Jira.
Working knowledge of NetSuite.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $72,500 - $105,000. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location, and the range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location, role-related knowledge and skills, depth of experience, relevant education or training, and additional role-related considerations.
Depending on the position offered, equity, bonuses, commission, or other forms of compensation may also be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and other benefits.
