Job Description:
We are seeking an organized and detail-oriented Accounting Clerk with a strong background in collections to join our team in Central Oklahoma City. This position is 100% onsite, with the potential to transition from temporary to a permanent role for the right candidate.
The Accounting Clerk will support the accounting department with a focus on accounts receivable and collections tasks. The ideal candidate will have proven experience in collections and be comfortable communicating with customers to resolve outstanding balances. This role requires accuracy, strong communication skills, and the ability to work independently while meeting deadlines.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform collections on outstanding accounts receivable, reaching out to clients via phone, email, and mail to secure payments.
- Accurately record payments, credits, and adjustments in accounting software.
- Prepare and send statements, invoices, and collections letters to clients.
- Reconcile customer accounts and assist in resolving discrepancies.
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing payment inquiries and negotiating payment arrangements.
- Assist with additional accounting tasks, such as data entry, filing, and maintaining financial records.
- Collaborate with the accounting team to ensure accurate reporting and timely collections.

- Experience with accounting software is a plus.
