Accounting Manager Job at Robert Half in Richmond

We are in search of an Accounting Manager to join our team in the government sector! In this role, you will have the oversight of treasury, tax revenue, and cash operations. You will also be managing a team and ensuring excellent customer service to both internal and external customers.

Responsibilities:

• Supervise and manage a team involved in treasury, tax revenue, and cash operations.

• Ensure the smooth operation of cash to ledger processes.

• Deliver excellent customer service to both internal and external stakeholders.

• Manage and oversee accounting functions including Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR).

• Maintain adherence to GAAP Accounting principles in all operations.

• Utilize accounting software systems including Oracle and Microsoft Excel for various tasks.

• Monitor and handle cash applications efficiently.

• Maintain and manage the General Ledger.

• Ensure the team is customer oriented and team oriented.

• Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems is required
• Must have a thorough understanding of all Accounting Functions
• Experience with Accounts Payable (AP) is essential
• Must be familiar with handling Accounts Receivable (AR)
• Knowledge of GAAP Accounting is a must
• Proficiency in Cash Applications is needed
• Experience in maintaining and managing General Ledger is required
• Familiarity with Oracle software is a plus
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is required
