Job Description
We are offering a contract employment opportunity in Honolulu, Hawaii for an Accounting Clerk within the Hospitality industry. This role is within the financial services industry, where you will be focusing on managing customer accounts and ensuring accurate record keeping. Responsibilities:
• Ensuring the accurate and efficient processing of customer credit applications
• Overseeing customer account details for any discrepancies such as delayed payments or non-payments
• Investigating and addressing any inquiries or irregularities on customer accounts
• Managing and maintaining the accounts receivable ledger, including daily receipts posting
• Facilitating the timely collection of payments and managing debt recovery
• Reviewing accounts receivable aging to ensure compliance and overseeing collection efforts
• Assisting in various accounting functions and general financial management
• Utilizing various accounting software systems, including ADP and Opera, to manage accounting functions
• Communicating with customers regarding any billing issues and providing administrative support to management where necessary
• Maintaining a well-organized filing system and preserving records of all transactions.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience as an Accounting Clerk or in a similar role• Proficiency in using Accounting Software Systems
• Experience with ADP - Financial Services is highly preferred
• Solid understanding of Accounting Functions
• Prior experience in managing Accounts Receivable (AR) is necessary
• Familiarity with Billing Functions
• Demonstrated ability to manage Cash Activity
• Experience in Check Processing is essential
• Knowledge of Opera software is a plus
