We are seeking an Accounting Manager/Supervisor to join our team in the non-profit sector based in Charleston, South Carolina. This role involves overseeing all financial aspects of the organization, including customer credit applications and records, and resolving customer inquiries.


Responsibilities:


• Oversee all financial aspects of the organization, including accounts receivable and accounts payable production, cash flow, and bank reconciliation.

• Generate monthly financial reports to provide a comprehensive understanding of the organization's financial status.

• Conduct analysis of actual performance against budget to ensure financial stability and growth.

• Manage grant reporting and other reporting duties to ensure transparency and accountability.

• Support the CFO in preparing for the annual audit and tax returns.

• Utilize accounting software systems to streamline and automate financial operations.

• Handle all billing functions accurately and efficiently.

• Manage month-end close operations to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.

• Utilize Sage Intacct and other relevant accounting tools to manage and track financial activities.

• Oversee auditing processes to ensure compliance with financial regulations and standards.

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role within the Non-Profit industry
• Proficiency in using Accounting Software Systems
• Demonstrated expertise in handling Accounting Functions
• Proven experience in managing Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)
• Solid background in Auditing procedures
• Familiarity with Billing Functions and processes
• Experience in using Sage Intacct software
• Ability to handle Month End Close procedures efficiently
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
• Strong leadership skills and ability to supervise a team
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field
• Professional accountancy qualification is an advantage
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and Word
• Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive financial information.
