We are seeking an Accounting Manager/Supervisor to join our team in the Waste, Refuse & Environmental Waste Mgt industry, located in Azusa, California. In this role, you will be tasked with overseeing key accounting functions, developing and implementing best practices, and leading a team. Responsibilities:
• Responsible for the daily management of accounting tasks, such as accounts payable, inventory, and fixed asset management.
• Develop and implement accounting policies and procedures to enhance internal controls and compliance.
• Provide leadership to the accounting team, offering guidance, training, and conducting performance evaluations.
• Monitor and analyze key performance indicators to assess team performance, identify trends, and report to senior management.
• Analyze financial data to provide insights into the organization's financial performance.
• Supervise cash flow and prepare weekly check run proposals.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve payment issues and improve vendor relationships.
• Assist in the preparation of monthly financial statements and analysis schedules.
• Support the execution of month-end and year-end closing activities.
• Coordinate with external parties for annual audits.
• Manage and execute special projects and reports as needed.• Demonstrable proficiency in Accounting Software Systems
• Experience with ADP - Financial Services is preferred
• Familiarity with ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning is essential
• Comprehensive understanding of Accounting Functions
• Proven experience managing Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)
• Prior experience in Auditing is required
• Capable of handling Billing Functions effectively
• Must be adept in Annual Financial Reporting
• Ability to Analyze Financial Statements accurately
• Experience in Asset Inventory management is a plus
