GHPC is seeking an
assistant project director (APD)
to join the already awesome team taking the GHPC to the next level of excellence and global achievements!
ABOUT THIS POSITION
The APD will work directly with leadership at the Center of Excellence for Children's Behavioral Health (COE) to provide team leadership and stewardship of program resources and achievement of assigned goals and objectives. The APD will serve as the lead for GHPC's school-based behavioral health (SBBH) initiatives, including overseeing a team providing technical assistance and evaluation support for a strong and growing statewide school-based mental health program conducted by the state's mental health authority.
HERE IS WHAT YOU WILL DO
Oversee all assigned work on SBBH projects, ensuring completion of timely and quality deliverables.
Serves as a liaison with key partners and stakeholders involved in SBMH work in the state of Georgia and nationally.
Provides project management for SBBH work, including monitoring and managing the budgets associated with this work.
Provides substantive feedback and content on deliverables.
Provides leadership and guidance to two staff leading SBMH technical assistance and evaluation efforts.
Writes project reports, briefing papers, policy white papers, technical tools, infographics, posters, oral presentations, and peer-reviewed research articles.
Mentors internal staff and provide supervision, career development, and support.
Facilitates meetings, including the development of meeting goals and objectives, meeting announcements and materials, and reports meeting results.
Leads the development of new proposals and opportunities for expanding GHPC's SBBH footprint with the state of Georgia and nationally.
ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND ABILITIES TO MAKE YOU SHINE
Knowledge and experience in behavioral health and specifically in SBBH.
Strong project management, including the ability to meet strategic goals and budget management.
Effective oral and written communication skills to meet the needs across multiple audiences.
Excellent leadership skills; extraordinary motivator.
Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint.
Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor's degree and three years of related experience; or a combination of education and related experience.
Preferred Hiring Qualifications:
At least five years of experience in project management and experience managing projects and teams where Behavioral Health and/or School-Based Behavioral Health is a focus.
