Our client is an organization in the Madison area looking for an Lead Accounting Analyst. This company is looking for someone with 5+ of accounting experience, strong attention to detail, and a process improvement mindset. This company offers an extremely collaborative team, growth opportunities and great benefits! This position is hybrid.

The salary range for this position is $100k-120k.

The Lead Accounting Analyst will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following:

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Oversee and manage daily accounting activities, including journal entries, reconciliations, and month-end close processes to ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain financial policies, procedures, and controls to support financial integrity and compliance.
  • Prepare, analyze, and interpret complex financial data, reports, and forecasts to support management decision-making and strategic planning.
  • Lead process improvement initiatives to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of financial reporting and operational workflows.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
  • Review, analyze, and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and financial metrics to identify trends, risks, and opportunities.
  • Assist with internal and external audits, ensuring accurate documentation and timely responses to audit inquiries.
  • Provide mentorship, training, and guidance to junior accounting staff to support professional growth and development.
  • Manage relationships with external vendors and partners, as needed, for financial services and compliance matters.


The Lead Accounting Analyst will possess the following:

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

Bachelor's degree in accounting or closely related field.
  • 5+ years of accounting experience.
  • Process improvement mindset.
  • Strong organizational and attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
