The Lead Accounting Analyst will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following:
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead projects and continuous improvement efforts.
- Prepare, coordinate, supervise and review preparation of schedules, annual audited financial statements, quarterly and annual statutory statements and management reports.
- Review and approve ledger adjustments and reconciliation.
- Oversee procedures to support internal controls and annually reviews and updates procedures.
- Develop extensive knowledge of statutory accounting principles.
- Support internal and external audit staff with financial audits and operations.
- Identify and lead process improvement department initiatives.
- Other duties and projects as assigned.
The Lead Accounting Analyst will possess the following:
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or closely related field.
- 5+ years of accounting or financial reporting experience. STAT experience preferred.
- Experience in insurance industry preferred.
- CPA preferred.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
