Responsibilities:
- Process accounts payable and receivable transactions accurately and in a timely manner.
- Review accounting records, monthly transactions, investigate issues, balance accounts, reconcile according to agreed schedule with clients.
- Work closely with client's controllers, Executive Directors, and staff in connection with agreed upon engagement.
- Monitor and analyze general ledger accounts and resolve discrepancies as they arise.
- Prepare and maintain financial reports, and records to ensure accurate financial tracking including creating ad hoc special reports.
- Support the preparation of budgets and forecasts by providing relevant financial data and insights.
- Ensure compliance with accounting policies and procedures, as well as relevant regulations
- Utilize technology to streamline processes and create efficiencies in partnership with our clients.
- Coordinate with team members to support client’s needs and work on special projects.
- Provide consulting services in the areas of financial forecasting, financial statement analysis and cash flow planning.
Qualifications:
- Min of 2+ years of experience in accounting with proven record of managing financial records including accounts payable and accounts receivable, financial reporting and budgeting.
- QuickBooks or QBO certification required.
- Xero Certified desired.
- Acumatica and/or Dynamic 365 desired.
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting preferred, however, an equivalent level of training/experience will be considered.
- Ability to work with a book of several clients with varied needs.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication, organizational, problem solving, and client service skills.
- Technology savvy including Microsoft Office, advanced knowledge of QuickBooks desktop/online, Xero and Bill.com or similar tools.
- Aptitude and willingness to learn new technology.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
