How many company books can you manage at one time? No, it’s not a riddle. It’s a way to let you know that this position is going to be fast-paced and exciting and keep you on your toes. It requires a talented individual with previous experience working on more than one set of company books at a time, who’s familiar with multiple types of accounting software, and can clean up a client’s messy accounting like they were born holding a mop.
Twenty20 Tax and Consulting is seeking a full-time, experienced Accounting Specialist/Bookkeeper to join our Client Accounting Services Team and help our business clients bring their financial picture into focus. Ideal candidate will be able to work well in a fast-paced, energetic environment with a positive attitude. Attention to detail and accuracy required. In this position, the candidate must have varied accounting/bookkeeping skills, excellent communication skills, work well in a team environment, and focus on multiple clients at once. Must have QuickBooks/QuickBooks Online and MS Office (Outlook, Excel and Word) experience. Xero, Bill.com, ADP, and Gusto experience preferred.
We are looking for an eager, self-starter who is willing to learn new things and grow in their profession, including tackling tax accounting and understanding how that’s different from normal bookkeeping.
Responsibilities:
- Process invoices and daily transactions and expenses.
- Update and maintain accounting database with data entry and reports.
- Perform month-end closings.
- Assist clients with booking journal entries, reconciling credit card and bank accounts, and accounts payable.
- Prepare the trial balance.
- Assist with financial analysis and reporting.
- Assist with accounting for corporate tax returns.
- Communicate with clients via phone and email as necessary.
Qualifications:
- Associate’s or Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or a related field of study.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience working in Accounting/Bookkeeping.
- Experience working with numerous clients simultaneously (such as prior experience working for a bookkeeping or accounting firm), with demonstrated ability to prioritize projects.
- Experience with QuickBooks/QuickBooks Online and MS Office (Outlook, Excel and Word) experience required. Xero, Bill.com, ADP, and Gusto experience preferred.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Work Schedule:
- Full-time, salaried position: Approx. 40 hours/week, with some additional hours required during busy season.
- Monday to Friday, in office.
