Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accounting and Payroll Specialist to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting practices, proficiency in ADP payroll processing, and advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and Quickbooks. This role is essential for ensuring accurate financial reporting and efficient payroll processing.
Key Responsibilities
- Accounting Duties:
- Prepare and maintain financial records, including general ledger entries, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank reconciliations.
- Assist in month-end and year-end closing processes.
- Generate financial reports and statements to support management in decision-making.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and relevant accounting regulations.
- Payroll Processing:
- Administer payroll processes using ADP software, ensuring timely and accurate payroll disbursements.
- Maintain payroll records, including employee hours, deductions, and benefits.
- Handle payroll inquiries and resolve discrepancies.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll laws and regulations.
- Excel and Data Analysis:
- Utilize advanced Excel skills to create, manage, and analyze financial data.
- Develop complex spreadsheets to track and report financial metrics.
- Automate data processes and create macros to streamline financial reporting.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in accounting and payroll processing.
- Proficiency in ADP payroll software is required.
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
Preferred Qualifications
- Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) certification.
- Experience with other accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP).
- Prior experience in a similar role
Hybrid Schedule: This position requires working in the office 3 days per week, with the flexibility to work remotely on the remaining days
