About the Role

The Company is seeking an Executive Director to lead its nonprofit organization, which is dedicated to educating and engaging the public by sharing the rich history and authentic connections to the past. The successful candidate will work closely with the Foundation Board to develop and implement long-term operational strategies, with a focus on high-quality interpretation, education, and public programs. This role involves executive oversight of visitor experiences, program design, and ensuring that the organization's activities align with the needs and expectations of its guests. The Executive Director will also be responsible for building operational strength, increasing capacity, and improving the organization's visibility and engagement, both on-site and online. Applicants for the Executive Director position at the company should have a minimum of 5 years of executive-level experience in a nonprofit organization of similar size and complexity. The role requires excellent organizational and leadership skills, as well as expertise in financial management, business acumen, and a proven track record in fund development. The ideal candidate will have a collaborative leadership style, be attuned to the value of diversity, and have the ability to engage with a wide range of stakeholders. A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field is required, with an MBA being a plus. The Executive Director will also be responsible for maintaining the organization's fiscal integrity, supporting governance and planning, and leading outreach and community relations efforts.
