About the Role

The Company is seeking an Executive Director to serve as a key leader and spokesperson for its energy and society institute. The successful candidate will work in partnership with the Faculty Director to advance the understanding of global energy challenges and promote the transition to low- and no-carbon energy systems. This role involves organizing and synergizing research initiatives, academic programs, and outreach efforts. The Executive Director will also be responsible for the Institute's fiscal health, engaging with external partners for collaboration and fundraising, and ensuring the Institute's mission is recognized and supported at regional, national, and international levels. Applicants for the Executive Director position at the company's energy and society institute should have a Master's degree or equivalent experience, with a strong background in leadership, administration, and budgetary management. The role requires a deep knowledge of current and future developments in the field of energy and society, as well as the ability to engage with a diverse range of external partners. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in team building, mentoring, and development, and a commitment to promoting a diverse and inclusive environment. Excellent communication, presentation, and fundraising skills are essential, as is the ability to translate strategic plans into programmatic goals and achievements. Experience in the energy industry or government, and a background in higher education, are preferred.
