Senior Product Manager, Global Reference Labs Oncology Diagnostics
will be the voice of the customer, responsible for solving unmet needs for existing and potential internal and external customers alike, ensuring data from market analysis is fed back to define future products and services. You will engage cross-functional teams to define and execute the product strategy, collaborating with teams throughout the organization to develop and grow a best-in-class diagnostic service experience. You will be a subject matter expert on IDEXX Reference Labs products and platforms, possessing a high level of technical acumen. This is a very high-profile global role with worldwide responsibility. Duties and Responsibilities Define/establish strategic direction for worldwide product lines consistent with overall LOB strategy, IDEXX mission and CAG direction. Develop and maintain the product roadmap, using customer research to translate insights into new product development projects. Develop long-term strategy, annual revenue and operating performance, customer loyalty, and development of a product management team. Develop and launch products based on clear customer value propositions to maximize IDEXX's return from targeted markets. Analyze customer needs and market trends to develop pricing strategies. Research competitor products and maintain competitive comparisons and evaluations. Gather insights to shape the direction of the product. Prepare and present reports and other information summarizing work activities. Prepare and present various analyses as needed to highlight issues and resolve questions. Manage projects to improve existing products, coordinating internal resources as well as customer input to ensure projects are completed on schedule and are positioned for commercial success. Promote/train product advantages and benefits to IDEXX employees, key vendors and others. What You Will Need to Succeed Knowledge / experience with animal or human healthcare diagnostic technologies desired. General knowledge of marketing and product management, including product development, segmentation/targeting, product positioning/pricing and forecasting/promotion. Solid reasoning and analytical skills to resolve issues and perform prioritization exercises. Strong leadership skills, including demonstrated business and people management experience, decision making, situational adaptability, and driving results. Project management skills and abilities, with ability to lead cross-functional teams in a matrix environment and ability to manage highly complex products and organizational decisions at senior levels. Drive, initiative, and creativity resulting in recognized thought leadership. Solid financial management and analysis skills. Insatiable curiosity-a lifetime learner with a desire to become the expert in a given product/disease area. Exceptional communication and presentation skills with the ability to communicate clearly and effectively with all levels in the organization. Able to travel (some travel required). Education and Experience Degree in business or relevant technical discipline or equivalent experience preferred. 10+ years of product management experience. Veterinary experience would be a plus. Location/Work Environment Hybrid work arrangement with proximity to commute to Westbrook headquarters regularly. General office environment. Why IDEXX?
