Analyze market trends to identify cost-effective solutions that meet the company’s needs.Supplier Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with truck manufacturers, dealers, and suppliers. Negotiate contracts and pricing agreements to secure favorable terms and ensure reliable supply chains.Market Research: Conduct thorough market research to stay informed about new truck models, technologies, and pricing trends. Evaluate the competitive landscape to inform purchasing decisions.Inventory Oversight: Monitor inventory levels of trucks and related equipment to ensure that procurement aligns with operational demands. Develop and maintain an efficient inventory management system.Cost Analysis: Analyze total cost of ownership, including maintenance, fuel efficiency, and resale value, to make informed purchasing decisions. Prepare financial reports and forecasts related to truck procurement.Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with other departments, such as operations, finance, and logistics, to ensure that purchasing decisions support overall business objectives.Compliance and Documentation: Ensure compliance with industry regulations and company policies throughout the purchasing process.
