Pricing Optimization Director
serving the Seed Business Unit (BU) globally. The Pricing Optimization Director will partner with Seed Business Unit leadership, regions, and cross-functional teams to align the organization on Corteva Agriscience's pricing strategy and processes for seed, traits and technologies. The Pricing Optimization Director will serve as the global expert on seed pricing and developing value propositions to create consistency and excellence across the company. The Pricing Optimization Leader will report to the Business Analysis Senior Director for Corteva's Seed Business Unit. What You'll Do: Serve as the global expert on seed pricing helping to create consistency and excellence in pricing strategy across the company. Drive a value-based pricing culture throughout the Seed Business Unit, including leading projects and workshops globally to enhance critical thinking, skills and process related to pricing. Work with regions, portfolios, and cross-functional areas on development and implementation of pricing strategy. Ensure portfolio pricing framework translates appropriately to the regions and regions can operate within the framework ensuring pricing aligns to company strategy. Work closely with the Marketing Directors, Marketing Managers, and Pricing teams for priority geographies as well as Finance, Market/Competitive Intelligence, and Legal. Monitor and measure price and product valuation effectiveness. Communicate financial and performance metrics to leadership and key stakeholders. Propose marketing analysis needed via market research, market economics, market analysis, and competitive intelligence to help ensure the Seed BU has industry leading understanding of the market regarding pricing and product valuation across various markets. This role may evolve over time to adapt to changes in processes, connections, and organizational design to best meet the needs of Corteva and the Seed Business Unit. What Skills You Need: Bachelor of Science Degree in Agriculture/Marketing/Business or other related discipline is required. Will consider other degrees with related marketing and/or field sales experience. Minimum of ten years with relevant marketing or pricing experience including hands-on experience in developing pricing strategies. Ability to see the big picture with understanding of short and long-term impacts of decisions. Must have strong business acumen and market understanding. Familiarity with seed and agricultural markets, customers/target audiences, and competitors is preferred. Shall possess exceptional communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to create networks and lead by influence demonstrating strong collaboration and teamwork skills to achieve successful outcomes. A creative thinker, with an ability to use both data and intuition to inform decisions. Candidate should plan for ~15% of their time allocated to business travel annually.
