Technical Product Manager - Overland Park, KS
Looking for candidates local to Overland Park, KS. This is a Hybrid role and may turn into onsite very soon.
Summary:
The ideal candidate would have started in a technical role and transitioned into product management. The Technical Product Manager will partner with internal/external stakeholders and Leadership to understand the business and technology landscape of the company and creatively define solutions in support of new product offerings, alleviating customer experience pain points and improving the architecture. The Technical Product Manager will own the product end-to-end, create and manage product vision, strategy, and roadmap, and lead cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality products. The Technical Product Manager will be adept at balancing technical knowledge and business acumen, possessing great leadership, management, communication, and people skills.
Responsibilities and Duties:
Support the company's largest technology initiatives, including a digital/agile transformation requiring upgrades to existing systems and the implementation of new tools, systems, and capabilities.
Support the products/product managers who are delivering the new and existing products.
Add updates to processes regarding the new delivery model, document changes, analyze downstream/upstream impacts, and help with the adoption of updates to the process.
Provide guidance through the implementation process to ensure best practices; be adaptive and flexible to understand unique situations and adjust accordingly.
Provide hands-on guidance and support, acting as a trusted advisor to teams and leaders across the organization.
Partner with Enterprise Level Agile coaches and Architects to ensure all groups are aligned on best practices and help keep teams organized.
Manage the overall process for the agile/SDLC process.
Required Experience, Skills, and Qualifications:
10+ years as a Product Manager and/or Solutions Architect in a fast-paced technology-based environment.
Experience coaching agile methodologies to Scrum Teams and partnering with Scrum Masters.
Driving technical strategy across all IT groups.
A proven outcome-based track record of coaching at the team level.
Support pre-deployment activities like RMI/RFC/BOM request creations.
Ability to create LLD and sequence diagrams.
Background in system architecture or design preferred.
Strong ability to create presentation decks and build relationships with stakeholders.
Experience partnering with peer coaches as part of a large-scale Agile transformation.
Identification, backlog management, staffing key roles, and successful planning and executing of program increments.
Solid knowledge of Agile management and virtual collaboration tools (e.g., Jira and Jira Align).
Extremely organized and able to manage a large team.
Strong presentation experience and interfacing with senior executives.
Solid communication skills.

The salary for this position ranges from $120k/year in our lowest geographic market up to $160K/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on several factors, including market location, and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Other forms of compensation are offered in the form of medical, vision, and dental benefits.
