About the Role:

Join the Broker Dealer Regulatory Reporting Technology team in a transformative initiative to replace legacy systems and processes with a cutting-edge technology stack. This role involves decommissioning the Haircut Database application from the mainframe system and replacing it with a modern, automated solution to meet SEC and FINRA reporting requirements. The Agile Scrum Master will play a critical role in driving the success of this project by leveraging Agile frameworks and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure timely delivery of high-quality solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as a servant leader and Agile coach for the Product Owner and Development Team, fostering collaboration and predictability in delivering high-value outcomes.
  • Facilitate Agile ceremonies, including Sprint Planning, Reviews, Retrospectives, and Program Increment (PI) Planning.
  • Guide teams in user story review, splitting, and sizing, ensuring alignment with project objectives and delivery timelines.
  • Coach teams on Agile/Scrum practices, supporting self-organization and iterative improvement toward higher maturity levels.
  • Identify and address impediments, fostering a trusting and safe environment for open problem-solving.
  • Support the Product Owner in refining and managing the product backlog, ensuring clarity and prioritization.
  • Drive collaboration across teams to ensure end-to-end data migration, backward compatibility, regression testing, and user training, meeting stringent SLA reporting deadlines.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • 7+ years of experience as a Scrum Master, preferably in investment banking or regulatory reporting domains.
  • Proficiency in Agile frameworks such as Scaled Agile Framework for the Enterprise (SAFe), Kanban, and XP.
  • Hands-on experience with JIRA and Agile project management tools.
  • Expertise in hosting PI Planning sessions, creating program backlogs, and driving train ceremonies.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint, Visio, Excel, and Word.
  • Familiarity with data warehousing applications and complex problem-solving in data migration and application upgrades.

Preferred Experience:

  • Strong understanding of Broker Dealer Regulatory Reporting processes and Approved Data Sources (ADS) within a banking environment.
  • Experience in managing projects with tight SLA reporting deadlines.
