 POSITION SUMMARY

The Master Plumber will be responsible for overseeing all plumbing operations within the new division at FSS Technologies. This includes managing a team of plumbers, handling complex plumbing installations and repairs, and ensuring that all projects are completed to the highest standards of quality and safety. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in residential, commercial, and industrial plumbing systems, and be a hands-on leader who thrives in a fast-paced, growing environment.

PERFORMANCE OBJECTIVES

• Lead and manage the plumbing team, providing training, mentorship, and guidance.  
• Plan, supervise, and execute plumbing installations, repairs, and maintenance for both residential and commercial clients.  
• Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal plumbing codes and regulations.  
• Collaborate with the project management team to ensure timely completion of projects within budget.  
• Perform inspections and quality control to guarantee the highest standard of workmanship.  
• Troubleshoot plumbing issues and provide effective, lasting solutions.  
• Assist in building the division’s customer base, maintaining client relationships, and promoting new business opportunities.  
• Maintain inventory and order materials and equipment as needed.  
• Stay current on industry advancements and provide recommendations for improvements.  
• Ensure a safe work environment and enforce company policies on safety and professionalism.

KEY COMPETENCIES

The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required but are not necessarily all-inclusive.  

• Extensive knowledge of residential, commercial, and industrial plumbing systems.  
• Strong understanding of plumbing codes, blueprints, and construction documents.  
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.  
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.  
• Proficient in using plumbing tools, equipment, and technology.  
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.

 EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

• High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred
• LicensedMaster Plumber in Michigan and/or Illinois  
• Minimum of 5 years of experience as aMaster Plumber, with proven leadership skills.  

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• Ability to move around construction sites, including walking on uneven ground.
• Capability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
• Use of hands for tool maintenance and handling construction materials.
• Consistent use of PPE for safety
• Primarily outdoor work with exposure to various weather conditions
• Position may require travel: Up to 40%
