Do you enjoy managing the technical aspects of complex instrumentation and/or consumable development projects? If you excel at understanding and communicating complex technical plans and how they relate to project scope, cost, scheduling, and troubleshooting, this is likely a great opportunity for you. In this role, you will be responsible for developing detailed project plans within our Molecular Diagnostics Engineering group, where we create new instruments and consumables for the point of care market. You will be managing design transfers to instrument contract manufacturers and working directly with suppliers for consumable component manufacturing. Additionally, you will be working with various engineering sub-teams across Software/Firmware, Electrical, Mechanical, and Systems engineering to facilitate alignment and manage a variety of deliverables across disciplines. Familiarity with Jira is also required to aid in open item prioritization, assignment, and harmonizing sub-team priorities and goals. To be successful in this role, you must have 5+ years of experience as a practicing engineer and 5+ years of experience as a Project Manager. You will possess strong planning and tracking skills, capable of managing multiple projects, well organized, and have excellent time management skills. Strong leadership skills are essential, with the ability to lead cross-functional teams effectively. Experience with Japanese culture is desirable. PMP certification is a plus. The anticipated base salary for this position is $120,000 – $145,000. This role may also qualify for annual incentives and/or comprehensive benefits. The actual base salary offered will depend on various factors, including the qualifications of the individual applicant, years of relevant experience, level of education attained, certifications, or other professional licenses held.
