Position Summary
This role supports the regulatory support, planning, governance and regulatory compliance functions for Customer touching initiatives. The position will collaborate with teammates, and at times leadership, in various other departments across the company, as appropriate (e.g., Finance, Rates & Regulatory, Legal, Revenue Services, IT, Consumer Affairs, and Customer Experience) and coordinate and facilitate associated work required to achieve regulatory and organizational objectives. The position must possess the desire to develop advanced skills and have the ability to work with greater independence. With general supervision, this position is expected to conduct data analysis, create internal and external reporting, analyze and develop regulatory filings, and create management-level presentations in the coordination and management of the hazard tree program for Distribution Vegetation Management in the Carolinas.

Responsibilities & Duties:
Provide administrative and project management support for regulatory initiatives as needed.
Support the preparation of thorough and accurate management-level reports, effective correspondence, accurate documentation and well-maintained records and files.
Research utility regulatory concepts, and state and federal regulations.
Coordinate with subject matter experts cross-functionally to support organizations in identifying and achieving objectives.
Develop positive working relationships to effectively coordinate work activities.
Designs and produce quality written and visual communications.
Monitors and document initiatives and workload of organization in a tracking tool as appropriate.
Desired Qualifications:
Familiarity of regulatory filings and filing processes.
Demonstrated ability to work independently and act as a self-starter.
Demonstrated organizational skills with ability to prioritize tasks to work within timeframes.
Proficient skills in MS Word, PowerPoint and Excel plus experience in building PowerBI dashboards.
Excellent communication skills – written and verbal.
Experienced in project management with engagement in regulatory filings and approved projects/programs.
Working relationship with departments such as Finance, Customer Services, Customer Experience, Rates, Legal and other Customer-facing Groups.
Working knowledge of financial analysis concepts.
Familiarity with the four Customer functions.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Required/Basic Qualifications
Bachelor's degree
In addition to required degree, five (5) years related work experience.
In lieu of Bachelor's degree(s) AND 5 year(s) related work experience listed above, High School/GED AND 9 year(s) related work experience.
Desired Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Business or Engineering
In addition to desired degree, 5 years related work experience.
Additional Preferred Qualifications
Financial Analysis, Project Management, Regulatory Reporting, Regulatory Requirements, Written Communication.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Excellent analysis and problem solving skills.
Working knowledge of rate schedules and riders.
Demonstrated experience in leading projects.
Demonstrated experience in process integration and implementation.
Budget or financial analysis experience.
Influencing skills.
Flexibility to accept and adjust to short timelines and react with little or no supervision.
Time management and personal organization skills.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects at one time.
Ability to give and receive positive and constructive feedback.
IT project experience.
Data analysis, retrieval and query skills.
Group presentation skills.
Working knowledge of applicable rates, laws and Commissions regulations.
Demonstrated leadership skills.
Working Conditions:
Hybrid – Work will be performed from both remote and onsite location. However, hybrid employees should live within a reasonable commute to the designated Duke Energy facility.
