Summary:

As the Director of eCommerce at Skywalker Holdings, you will be responsible for leading and expanding our eCommerce presence across multiple channels, including 1P and 3P marketplaces, as well as Direct-to-Consumer (D2C) sales through our branded websites. You will leverage your deep expertise in eCommerce strategies, data analytics, and digital marketing to drive growth and profitability across all platforms. Your role will include overseeing a team of professionals focused on marketplace management, D2C operations, digital marketing, and customer experience. Collaborating closely with cross-functional teams, you will ensure our online channels are optimized for revenue generation, customer engagement, and brand consistency.

Objectives & Responsibilities:

Strategic Leadership: Develop and execute a prioritized eCommerce strategy that targets marketplaces and product lines with the highest potential for growth. Integrate marketplace and D2C channels into a cohesive plan that drives overall revenue and profitability.

Team Management: Lead, mentor, and inspire a team of eCommerce professionals, including an admin, marketplace manager, and D2C manager. Provide direction and support to ensure each team member contributes effectively to our eCommerce objectives.

eCommerce Analytics: Use advanced analytics tools to monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) across all channels. Identify opportunities for improvement and growth, prioritizing actions that will have the greatest impact.

D2C Channel Management: Oversee the operations and optimization of our D2C websites, ensuring a seamless and engaging customer experience. Drive initiatives to increase conversion rates and customer retention.

Partner/Agency Management: Select, manage, and collaborate with external partners and agencies responsible for ad management, listing optimization, and other critical eCommerce functions. Ensure all partnerships align with our goals and deliver measurable results.

Market Share Analysis: Regularly conduct market share analysis for both marketplace and D2C channels. Use this data to inform strategic decisions and prioritize resources for maximum impact.

Product Assortment & Pricing Strategy: Work with cross-functional teams to develop and implement product assortment and pricing strategies tailored to the needs of each channel, with a focus on high-opportunity areas.

Listing & Content Optimization: Ensure that product listings, digital content, and SEO strategies are optimized for each eCommerce platform, including marketplaces and D2C sites. Stay updated on best practices and algorithm changes to maintain competitive advantage.

Ad Campaign Management: Oversee the planning, execution, and optimization of digital advertising campaigns. Work with internal teams and external agencies to monitor ad spend, ROI, and overall campaign effectiveness.

Platform Expertise: Maintain a deep understanding of the eCommerce landscape, including updates, trends, and emerging technologies. Identify opportunities to expand our presence and improve customer engagement.

Brand Management: Ensure consistent brand messaging and guidelines across all eCommerce channels. Work closely with the marketing and design teams to develop and update brand assets.

Leadership & Collaboration:

Prepare for and participate in leadership staff meetings.

Collaborate with the Executive team to establish, clarify, and communicate the company's Mission and Vision.

Work with the Executive team to establish, prioritize, and communicate company Objectives and Key Results (OKRs).

Ensure all eCommerce activities align with company Vision, Mission, and Priorities. Identify, clarify, and strengthen interdependencies across departments.

Help establish company KPI goals and contribute to achieving them.

Identify and discuss obstacles, problems, and risks that could impact business success, and participate in developing solutions.

Contribute to key decision-making processes that affect the overall direction of the business.

Build and strengthen relationships across the organization.

Train, inspire, and set an excellent example for your team and peers.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field (education may be substituted in lieu of director level experience in ecommerce).

4 years of relevant experience

Extensive experience in managing eCommerce operations, including both 1P/3P marketplaces and D2C channels.

Proven leadership skills with experience managing and developing teams.

Proficiency in eCommerce analytics tools, data analysis, and digital marketing strategies.

Strong understanding of SEO, product listing optimization, and online customer behavior.

Experience in managing large-scale ad campaigns across multiple digital platforms.

Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across departments.

Strong problem-solving skills and ability to adapt to the fast-changing eCommerce environment.

Experience with eCommerce technologies and platforms, including CMS, ERP, and CRM systems.

A deep understanding of branding principles and the ability to maintain brand consistency across all channels.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $60,000.00 - $74,000.00 per year
