To enrich education through diversity, The College of New Jersey is an Equal Opportunity Employer. The College has a strong commitment to achieving diversity among faculty and staff, and strongly encourages women and members of underrepresented groups to apply.
The Center on Sensory and Complex Disabilities is seeking candidates for an Overnight Certified EMT role.
Overnight EMT staff work 11pm - 7am and must remain awake in order to support program participants if/as needed. Applicants must hold a current New Jersey EMT Certification.
Our summer transition programs are part of the CSCD, but much different than CLLE or NJCDB. Our programs are referral-based and run in partnership with the New Jersey Commission for the Blind and Visually Impaired. We currently have three residential transition programs for high school students who have vision loss. All of our programs focus on preparation for employment, person-centered planning, community-based instruction, social skills, self-advocacy, independent living, and recreation and leisure skills. Our STEPS Program is for individuals with complex disabilities who are preparing for a customized employment plan after they transition from high school. The SUCCESS program is for individuals who are looking to attend post-secondary educational programs. Our CREATE Program is a blend of both of the above programs and is designed for individuals who may need a bit of additional support or time to help them prepare for life after high school.Employer Qualifications:
- Final offer of employment is contingent upon the successful completion of background check and reference checks
