Since 1993, Industrial Shadeports has been designing, manufacturing, installing, and servicing custom shade structures and tension membrane structures for customers across the US and around the world. Each structure is custom designed and architecturally pleasing while offering maximum sun protection.
Industrial Shadeports’ growth has created the need to add a new Manufacturing Manager to our operations in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
The Manufacturing Manager Leads, Manages and is Accountable for all aspects of the manufacturing staff and facility (fabric sewing and steel fabrication). Our Guarantee is “The Project Isn’t Completed Until You Are Completely Satisfied.” As such, the Manufacturing Manager will be responsible for the following items:
Safety
Inventory
Quality & Continuous Improvement
Shop Scheduling and Execution
Training
Factory Equipment
As a smaller organization, this role is responsible for driving excellence across all functions while being supported by the other Departments. You will collaborate closely with the entire organization, creating an engaged employee environment, while reporting to the Senior Leadership Team of the organization. The Company operates with an open, supportive, and collaborative style. Team Players with a desire to positively impact the business will thrive in this position.
Key Qualifications and Skills

  • 5 or more years’ experience in Manufacturing Management for an Engineered Product or Custom Manufacturing business.
  • Thorough knowledge of Manufacturing Management and Continuous Improvement Tools.
  • Strong knowledge of small business operations and challenges.
  • Superior people management and negotiation skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to take the initiative, being action oriented and driving for results.
  • Must be flexible and have a willingness to work within multiple conflicting priorities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to convey information and ideas in a variety of media to a diverse audience.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and multiple other business systems.
