Description
The Manufacturing Engineer will be responsible for designing, implementing, and improving manufacturing processes and systems to enhance efficiency, quality, and safety. Description
The Manufacturing Engineer will be responsible for designing, implementing, and improving manufacturing processes and systems to enhance efficiency, quality, and safety. This role involves working closely with cross-functional teams to develop and refine manufacturing methods, solve production issues, and drive continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
- Process Design: Develop and implement manufacturing processes and procedures to optimize production efficiency and product quality. Design and specify manufacturing equipment and tooling.
- Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements, including cost reduction, waste elimination, and quality enhancement. Lead and execute continuous improvement initiatives.
- Troubleshooting: Provide technical support to resolve production issues, including equipment malfunctions, process deviations, and quality problems.
- Documentation: Prepare and maintain detailed documentation of manufacturing processes, procedures, and changes. Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Collaboration: Work closely with design engineers, production teams, and suppliers to ensure seamless integration of new products and processes. Facilitate communication and coordination between teams.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience: 2+ years of experience in manufacturing engineering or a related role, with a strong understanding of manufacturing processes and techniques.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in manufacturing software and tools (e.g., CAD, ERP systems). Knowledge of manufacturing processes, quality control, and equipment management.
- Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to address production challenges and implement effective solutions.
- Communication: Good verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and clearly present technical information.
- Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy and attention to detail in manufacturing processes and documentation.
- Must be able to obtain a Secret and/or a TS/SCI clearance.
- Education: Master's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience: 3+ years of experience in manufacturing engineering, with experience in aerospace or high-tech industries preferred.
- Advanced Skills: Expertise in advanced manufacturing techniques, process optimization, and technology integration.
- Certifications: Relevant certifications in manufacturing or quality management (e.g., Six Sigma Green Belt, Lean Manufacturing) are a plus.
- Industry Experience: Experience in aerospace or space technology sectors, particularly with complex and high-precision manufacturing environments.
- Innovation: Demonstrated ability to drive innovation and continuous improvement in manufacturing processes and systems.
