Job Title: Manufacturing Engineer

Division: Tactical Space Systems Division
Job Description: Our client is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to support the Harness Work Center (HWC) within the Tactical Space Systems Division.

The ideal candidate will:
•Author and maintain production plans detailing the assembly of spacecraft hardware.
•Participate in design peer reviews to ensure manufacturability and alignment with engineering documentation.
•Evaluate non-conforming products and develop rework procedures to restore flight hardware functionality.
•Collaborate with cross-functional teams to conduct root cause and corrective action investigations.
•Optimize operational workflow by developing manufacturing processes and introducing new tools and techniques for harness fabrication.
•Respond to changing design requirements throughout the build process by revising production plans and ensuring products meet flight configuration standards.
•Design and construct full-scale mock-ups of spacecraft structures to aid in manufacturing exact-fit harnessing.
•Provide direct support to Technicians on the manufacturing floor in a fast-paced environment.
•Act as the manufacturing lead on assigned programs, ensuring quick resolution of roadblocks while maintaining budget and schedule.
•Ensure compliance with industry and internal standards in all processes and procedures.
Skills & Qualifications:
Required:
•Bachelor's degree or higher in Engineering or a related STEM field.
•At least 2 years of experience in Manufacturing/Process Engineering, Production, or a related area.
•Hands-on experience with manufacturing processes involving soldering, adhesives, testing, and harness assembly.
Preferred:
•Demonstrated leadership experience.
•Experience with cable and harnessing.
•Proficiency with power tools and construction.
•Experience with Costpoint, SAP, MES, Solumina, TIPQA, Windchill.
•Experience working in an ISO or AS9100 environment.
