Job DetailsJob LocationPegasus Steel Ladson - Ladson, SCJob Shift1st ShiftDescriptionResponsible for performing all technical functions, as well as providing technical direction and support in projects. Maintains design control and supports project schedule, steel processing, and fabrication through project life cycle. Ensures the health and safety of all associates is protected. Provides increasing levels of customer and employee satisfaction while improving the efficiency of manpower, materials, and machines.Testing, monitoring and maintaining equipment and conducting regular tests to ensure calibration of equipmentResearching, pricing and assisting in the purchase of new equipmentDesigning new equipment or fixturing as required and redesigning the production process in the factory or plantDesigning, modifying and overseeing processes to guarantee maximum output with minimum defects in the production processCollecting and interpreting data on efficiency and budgets to report to senior managementAnalyzing every detail and step of the production process to reduce costs, increase productivity and optimize productionDesign and implement systems and equipment procedures for manufacturing.Test and monitor equipment, update current system processes and conduct risk management.Develop and implement process strategies, optimize current processes, and maintain process documentation.Performs other related duties as assigned.QualificationsTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.5 Years of SolidWorks experience.5 Years of AutoCAD experience.This position requires that the person be a highly organized individual, who is self-motivated, and can work independently.Must be able to handle multiple projects simultaneously.Preferred knowledge of fabrication and assembly practices, tools and fixturing.Ability to work with vendors, customers, and employees.Must excel at working in a team environment.Must be able to familiarize with product construction and internal applications.Must have knowledge of production scheduling and shop operations.Must have very strong leadership skills, with excellent oral and written communication skills.Must be able to manage multiple tasks and or priorities and easily adapt to changing situations.Will be computer proficient. Preferred experience with shop floor control, production planning, and inventory control applications.EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE Requires a Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Technology (Manufacturing, Mechanical, or Industrial) or related field from an accredited college, university or technical school; four (4) years related experience and/or training in engineering or manufacturing; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
