Warranty Repair Supervisor – DAB US - Ladson, SC Summary Description We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Warranty Repair Shop Supervisor to oversee and participate in the daily operations of our warranty repair shop. This role is responsible for managing the repair process, ensuring compliance with warranty policies, coordinating with distributors and technicians, and ensuring timely and accurate completion of repairs while demonstrating safe, clean and effective work site and workshop practices. The ideal candidate will have excellent leadership and customer service skills and a deep understanding of submersibles, centrifugal, circulators & other water pumps in the industry. Main Responsibilities: Shop Supervision & Repairs: Lead a small team of technicians to ensure efficient and effective repair operations. Foster a positive work environment focused on safety, quality, and customer satisfaction. Operate a variety of diagnostic instruments and hand, electric and air-driven tools. Inspect, diagnose and repair motors, pumps and related equipment Test, troubleshoot, service, assemble and repair pumping equipment while assisting in the preparation of repair quotation. Warranty Process Management: Oversee the processing and verification of warranty claims to ensure accuracy and compliance with guidelines. Review repair orders, estimate costs, and confirm coverage with warranty providers. Quality Control: Ensure all repairs meet company standards before returning products to customers. Conduct regular quality checks on completed repairs to maintain high standards of workmanship. Resolve any issues or discrepancies in repairs, providing troubleshooting and technical guidance as needed. Participates in a Global After-Sales team meeting to share ideas, topics and recurrent failures with international colleagues, in order to continuously improve the products and services. Customer Service: Ensure a high level of customer satisfaction by addressing customer concerns and ensuring timely completion of warranty repairs. Communicate clearly and professionally with customers regarding repair timelines, costs, and warranty terms. Handle escalated customer issues with professionalism and ensure resolutions align with company policies and customer expectations. Administrative Duties: Provide detailed root cause failure analysis, including photos and detailed reporting. Maintain accurate records of warranty claims, repairs, and service history for all customers. Generate and submit reports on repair shop performance, warranty claim status, and inventory usage. Education & Experience 5 years’ experience in pump installation, service or repair, agriculture, water treatment or mechanical systems equivalent Ability to read and comprehend engineering drawings and data, understand water hydraulics and pump curve Working knowledge and use of digital multimeter device Proficient with CRM software and basic office software (e.g., Microsoft Office, Excel). A self-driven problem solver capable of assessing equipment failure and repair Working Conditions: The employee is routinely required to stand, bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, walk, sit, talk and hear. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift weights up to 100 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, and the ability to adjust focus. Requires wearing personal protective safety equipment (safety glasses, appropriate footwear, gloves, ear plugs, etc.). Comfortable working with and around water, rotating and energized equipment, and electricity.
