Manufacturing Engineer

Job Summary: We are seeking a detail-oriented and innovative Manufacturing Engineer to join our seafood manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will play a key role in optimizing production processes, improving product quality, and ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards. This position requires collaboration with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement and enhance operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
*Oversee all aspects of packaging-related projects, including design, sizing, testing, material selection, and equipment efficiency improvements.
*Lead the packaging development process for all business units, from concept to execution and launch.
*Identify emerging packaging trends and develop innovative packaging concepts for retail, Club, and alternate channels.
*Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and explore innovative processes to enhance plant operations.
*Identify and validate cost-saving and sustainability initiatives.
*Collaborate with engineering teams and stakeholders to identify new equipment and manufacturing technologies for new and existing products.
*Partner with R&D, Purchasing, Supply Chain, Marketing, and Sales teams on various projects.
*Assist with technology transfer to operations.
*Coordinate and oversee tests at production facilities.
*Provide support for new product start-ups.
Qualifications:
*0-1 years of an Engineering Internship or Co-op within the Food and Beverage Industry
* Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Industrial Engineering
* Proven experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in the seafood or food processing industry.
* Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, quality assurance, and safety standards.
* Proficiency in CAD software and other engineering design tools.
* Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
* Strong analytical skills, with experience in data analysis and process optimization methodologies.
* Effective communication and interpersonal skills
