Senior AccountantAbout the Company:Our client is an industry leader looking to add a Senior Accountant to their team. The Senior Accountant is accountable for financial operations of the company, to include the production of financial reports, maintenance of accounting records, and implementation of sound financial controls designed to mitigate risk. Enhance the accuracy, timeliness and understanding of the companys reported financial results, and ensure compliance with State/Federal obligations and generally accepted accounting principles.

Specific tasks for the Senior Accountant
The Senior Accountant ensures accurate and timely month end close, properly accounting for all income and expenses
Analysis and challenge of financial results. Variance analysis
Support accounts payable, billing, accounts receivable, payroll processes
Maintain documented accounting policies and procedures and make change recommendations
Accounting system, chart of account and cost center maintenance
Comply with local, state and federal reporting and tax filing
Maintenance and development of internal controls including bank and balance sheet reconciliations
Production of client financial statements in accordance with contract requirements
Assist in the creation of insightful financial reporting for presentation to management
Support budget and forecast processes
Provide ad hoc analysis as required
Support ad hoc projects and change activity
Skills/ Experience of the Senior Accountant
Bachelors degree in Accounting or Business Administration
3 years plus of relevant experience.
Current knowledge of accounting processes (payroll, payables, receivables, banking, expenses, sales tax) and systems that support with curiosity and ability to drive continuous improvement
Proficiency with Microsoft Excel (e.g. lookups, pivot tables, data manipulation)
