Salary - $50,000 - $60,000 per year

POSITION DESCRIPTION:

Under direction of the Assistant Controller, performs journal entries, maintains bank reconciliations. Assist with monthly closing and account analysis. Assist with year-end and audit activities.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Close month end with journal entries, financial statements, and reconciliations.

Reconcile Bank Statements and fixed assets monthly.

Assist Accounts Payable Clerk on an as needed basis.

Assist Business Office Manager with annual cost report preparation and annual audit activities.

Complete quarterly sales tax filing.

Work with collection attorney on an as needed basis.

Completes union dues report to be submitted monthly.

Completes union pension report to be submitted monthly.

Reviews pharmacy invoices for accuracy.

Performs a variety of general clerical duties, including mail distribution and other routine functions.

Track and reconcile petty cash.

Other related duties that may become necessary or as directed by the Assistant Controller or Business Office Manager.

Must be available to work more than eight (8) hours per day or more than forty (40) hours per week.

MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS:

Associates degree in business or accounting with three to five years accounting experience preferably in a healthcare setting.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:

Ability to gather data, compile information, and prepare reports.

Organizing skills.

Knowledge of MS Office.

Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles.
