Key Responsibilities of the Financial Analyst
Financial Analysis and Reporting:
Analyze financial performance metrics, including revenue, expenses, and profitability for clinics and departments.
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports and presentations for leadership.
Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess operational efficiency and financial health.
Budgeting and Forecasting:
Assist in the development and monitoring of annual budgets for the medical group.
Create financial forecasts and models to predict future performance.
Collaborate with department leaders to ensure alignment with budgetary goals.
Cost and Productivity Optimization:
Perform cost-benefit analyses to evaluate the financial viability of new initiatives, services, or investments.
Analyze provider productivity, staffing costs, and resource utilization.
Recommend strategies to improve efficiency while maintaining quality care.
Strategic Decision Support:
Provide financial insights to support strategic planning and business development.
Conduct market and competitive analyses to guide expansion or service line optimization.
Assist in evaluating mergers, acquisitions, and joint ventures, if
Qualifications Preferred of the Financial Analyst
Education: Bachelors degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field (Masters degree or CFA/CPA is a plus).
Experience: Minimum 2-5 years of financial analysis experience, preferably in the healthcare or medical group sector.
Skills:
Strong knowledge of healthcare financial systems and payer reimbursement models.
Proficiency in financial software, data visualization tools, and Microsoft Excel.
Advanced analytical skills and the ability to create complex financial models.
Excellent communication and presentation abilities.
Salary: $70,000k- $95,000k
