BRANCH MANAGER

GENERAL DESCRIPTION:

Responsible for directing and administering the operational efforts of the branch. Ensures established policies and procedures are followed. Oversees the provision of a full range of services to members and prospective members. Trains, directs, and supervises branch staff. In addition to meeting sales goals, this position is responsible for resolving member and employee issues/problems. May hold insurance licenses and must maintain appropriate continuing education as required.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Performs essential duties and responsibilities in the following areas which may include, but are not limited to those listed, and are subject to change: Supervises work scheduling and workflow of daily routine operations. Ensures operations are conducted in accordance with established CTFCU policies and with legal and regulatory requirements. Ensures branch security. Opens and closes the building in accordance with set hours and test security equipment quarterly. Acts as a Loan Officer, processing and approving member loans within established policies and limits. Supervises and assists with member service functions. Cross sells CTFCU services. Implements changes to established policies and procedures within the branch. Complies with all federal, state, and organizational policies, procedures, and processes, including (but not limited to) the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) and Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC). Ensures all branch transactions are balanced at the close of each day. Oversees individual accountability for the handling of cash and assists Tellers in resolving balancing problems. Controls and handles daily deposits in accordance with established policies and procedures. Periodically verifies cash in possession of Tellers and cash on the premises. Provides leadership through effective objective setting and communication. Directly supervises all branch personnel. Ensures high quality work and efficiency in operations are maintained. Determines work methods and flow through assigning, directing, coordinating, and reviewing tasks. Conducts regular meetings with branch employees to inform and train. Discusses areas needing improvement and changes in procedure. Conducts weekly meetings with branch management staff to coordinate activities for the following week. Ensures personnel are well trained in all phases of their respective jobs. Completes orientation of new employees in overall branch procedures. Performs cross training as necessary. Conducts security training. Ensures personnel are effective and used efficiently. Determines appropriate staffing levels for proper utilization of human resources. Tracks individual progress and conducts performance appraisals on each employee at least twice annually. Formulates and implements corrective actions as needed. Recommends promotions for employees as appropriate. Provides leadership training to employees seeking management opportunities. Approves all sick leave, vacation, overtime, and time cards for each branch employee. Keeps accurate payroll and attendance records. Ensures members' requests and questions are promptly resolved. Handles members' complaints. Ensures members are informed of CTFCU services and policies. Counsel's members regarding their financial needs and services requested. Ensures CTFCU's quality reputation is maintained and projected. Ensures branch operations are well coordinated with accounting, loan processing, and credit functions. Manages and oversees expenses. Pursues cost-saving measures. Continually seeks ways to improve branch operations and productivity and to meet established goals. Prepares periodic branch activity reports and makes recommendations to management for improvements. Ensures proper maintenance and general housekeeping of the building, grounds, work areas, desks, and equipment is carried out, including snow and ice removal. Ensures adequate supplies, forms, and equipment are available for personnel. Institutes prudent safety measures. Keeps management informed of branch activities, progress toward established objectives, and of any significant problems. Requests assistance when necessary. Fills in and performs duties in branch positions as needed. Attends assigned training sessions and stays current on new operational procedures. PERFORMANCE MEASUREMENTS

Branch services are efficiently and effectively delivered in accordance with established CTFCU policies and standards. Current member accounts are maintained or expanded and additional ones solicited. Good business relationships exist with members and their questions and problems are promptly resolved. Branch personnel are well trained and efficient, and their activities well-coordinated. Required reports and records are accurate and timely. Management is appropriately informed of area activities and of any significant problems. Suggestions are provided for improved efficiency or effectiveness in operations. Good working relationships exist with branch personnel. Assistance is provided as needed. Branch transactions, loan volumes, expenses, and profitability are in line with CTFCU standards. Exhibits ongoing commitment to the enactment of organizational core values. QUALIFICATIONS

Degree in business or related field or an equivalent combination of formal training and experience Degree in business or related field or an equivalent combination of formal training and experience. Thorough knowledge of CTFCU loan products and applicable policies and standard. An understanding of government regulations and legal requirements involving lending and related functions. Familiarity with loan promotions and marketing practices. Must have NMLS # or the ability to be licensed through the NMLS Registry in compliance with the S.A.F.E. Act At least five years of progressive experience in lending related positions. Administrative and supervisory experience. Strong leadership and supervisory skills. Good project management abilities. Well organized, and able to meet deadlines. Excellent public relations skills. Able to operate related computer applications and business equipment.
