Middle Tier Peoplesoft Administrator

An Insight Global client in the Houston area is looking for a Senior Peoplesoft Administrator to come onsite on join their team. This person will be responsible for the daily administration and optimization of PeopleSoft environments, including but not limited to planning, installation, configuration, change control, patch management and performance monitoring and tuning in a 24x7 environment. This person will also collaborate with other IT administrators to design, plan and implement the PeopleSoft server environments and write scripts to automate daily administrative tasks. Additionally, this person will work on activities involved in all production, development and test environments for PeopleSoft in Human Resources, Finance and Student Administration applications. Lastly, this person will create and adhere to change control and release/configuration management standards and policies, monitor the environment for proper operation within established performance and availability expectations, and maintain current knowledge of trends and future directions in the PeopleSoft environments.

Required Skills & Experience - 5-8 years of experience as a Middle Tier Peoplesoft Administrator - 8 years of experience establishing requirements and formulating proper documentations to ensure consistency and adherence to standards and policies and procedures, working with product vendors on installations and upgrades. - Experience implementing and providing support of security measures and products related to PeopleSoft including application installs, upgrades, vulnerability assessment and patch management. - Experience providing input and technical support in troubleshooting complex issues within PeopleSoft application, software and hardware environments, properly sizing and configuring web servers, application servers and database servers. - Experience providing applicable support and assistance in defining infrastructure processes and associated components, analyzing improvement opportunities, establishing and troubleshooting enterprise network connectivity. - Experience participating in the planning of PeopleSoft and its related utility upgrades and patches, and the development of disaster recovery plans for the PeopleSoft environments.
