Strategic Project Manager

Position Summary:

Responsible for advancing key initiatives and projects in support of Kootenai Health's strategic plan. This position will individually lead both direct and virtual teams from concept phase through execution of cross-functional initiatives and projects of varying size and complexity. This position requires superior organizational and communication skills, a high level of collaboration, and an ability to coordinate activities and move initiatives forward in partnership with stakeholders. This position fills a role as a strategic partner to service line and department leaders, flexibly responding to needs and enhancing the internal capability within the organization to develop and drive change, facilitate alignment, and create measurable impact for the organization. In support of the Results Management Office, this role will support the portfolio and program management of strategic initiatives and projects.

Responsibilities: Creates and oversees project scopes, timelines, tasks/responsibilities, and deliverables for assigned projects in collaboration with multi-functional teams Works with executive and service line leaders to develop charters, objectives, metrics, stakeholder engagement and communication plans, and monitoring systems Ensures tracking of deliverables, objectives, and outcomes for each project, including project status reporting to key stakeholders and sponsors Sets up and leads multi-disciplinary work teams to deliver on key deliverables and deadlines. Ensures effective communication, training, and post-implementation support strategies are created and implemented among all stakeholder teams Responsible for positive relationship management with project team members as well as assisting teams Facilitates decision-making among multiple stakeholders with varying priorities, while using a tailored approach to meet the needs of stakeholders, ensuring solutions are both sustainable and scalable Engages stakeholders in solving problems of varying complexity, strategic priority, and visibility Uses change management and performance improvement tools Builds awareness and commitment to the change effort, and leads the ongoing communications and alignment of stakeholders throughout the process Identifies, gathers, and analyzes all pertinent data, research, and/or information necessary to help make recommendations, inform decisions, and accomplish project goals. Processes information quickly and can translate and communicate clearly to a variety of audiences Conducts post-initiative assessments and makes recommendations for improvements based on those assessments Stays aligned with and shares best practices with other members of the project management team as a way of improving upon the collective development of team members Applies a wide degree of creativity and latitude and relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals Performs other related duties and special projects as required as assigned Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within the field Regular and predictable attendance is an essential job function Competent to meet age specific needs of the unit assigned Requirements and Minimum Qualifications :

Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Management, Business Administration, Project Management, or related discipline or equivalent experience required Minimum of 5 years' experience in Communications, Healthcare, Project Management, Planning, Business Analysis, and/or other relevant experience Strong project management experience, including development of work plans, metrics, and monitoring processes Experience in managing virtual teams preferred PMP certification preferred Experience with Lean and/or Six Sigma preferred About Kootenai Health:
