Description
Job Overview:
The IT Equipment and Asset Manager will be responsible for the tracking, deployment, and disposal of all IT hardware assets within the organization. You will work closely with IT, procurement, and finance teams to maintain accurate records, ensure compliance with company policies, and contribute to cost-effective IT operations. You will also manage the lifecycle of IT assets, from procurement to decommissioning, and oversee asset tagging, audits, and reporting.
Key Responsibilities: Asset Lifecycle Management: Oversee the entire lifecycle of IT assets, including computers, tablet, mobile phones, and peripherals, from assignment to disposal. Inventory Management: Maintain an up-to-date inventory of all IT assets, including serial numbers, specifications, locations, and assignment to end users. Procurement Coordination: Work with IT and procurement teams to acquire new hardware, ensuring that purchases align with company needs, budget constraints, and vendor agreements. Asset Audits and Compliance: Perform regular physical and digital audits to ensure that all assets are accounted for and comply with company policies and industry regulations. Asset Disposal: Manage the proper disposal or repurposing of IT assets that are no longer in use, including ensuring secure data wiping and compliance with environmental and legal regulations. Reporting and Documentation: Generate regular reports on asset status, utilization, depreciation, and lifecycle to provide insight to management and support decision-making. Collaboration: Work cross-functionally with IT support teams, HR, and other departments to coordinate the assignment, maintenance, and return of IT equipment. Qualifications

Experience:
3+ years of experience managing IT assets or in an IT equipment management role. Familiarity with asset management tools and systems (e.g., Ticketing Systems, Digital Asset Managers). Experience with IT procurement processes, vendor management, and contract negotiations. Skills:
Strong organizational and problem-solving skills. Detail-oriented with the ability to manage large volumes of data and maintain accuracy. Solid understanding of IT hardware, networking equipment, and software lifecycle management. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams. Knowledge of IT security protocols for managing and disposing of equipment and data
