About the Role

The Company is seeking an Executive Director for its Sponsored Programs Accounting Office. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the office's operations and management, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations for sponsored awards accounting. This includes coordinating the preparation of various financial reports, leading the annual Single Audit, and enhancing procedures to implement university policy and applicable guidance. The role also involves providing direction on the interpretation of federal regulations, developing and maintaining training programs, and collaborating with various internal and external stakeholders to support the research enterprise. Applicants must have a Bachelor's degree in accounting or a related area, with a minimum of 5 years' experience in grant and contract accounting. Knowledge of OMB Uniform Guidance, federal regulations, and experience in a leadership role are essential. The ideal candidate will have an advanced degree or professional certification, experience in a research-intensive academic environment, and a strong background in sponsored project research administration. Strong interpersonal, leadership, and management skills are required, as is the ability to effectively communicate complex guidelines and regulations. The role demands an independent, self-starting individual with a strong work ethic, the ability to manage multiple priorities, and a commitment to fostering a culture of compliance and ethics.
